Uzbek President Islam Karimov will leave for Brussels today up on the invitation of EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, Uzbek official media reported.
Uzbekistan's relations with the EU and NATO, as well as regional and international issues, will be discussed during the visit.
It is also planned to sign documents directed at deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU in various fields.
Karimov is expected to meet with NATO representatives and officials from Belgium.
