Construction of Aragvi Hydro Power Plant (HPP) over the White Aragvi River started in Eastern Georgia, Georgian Energy Ministry said.
Construction company "Peri" is constructing the HPP on order of JSC Energo Aragvi.
Under the project, the annual output by the HPP will hit 50 million kilowatt hours.
Construction should be completed in 2015. Some $11 million will be invested in the construction.
Aragvi HPP is among 15 HPPs, about construction of which the Georgian government announced earlier this year.
