BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Exports of Turkish steel products to Uzbekistan increased by 25.9 percent from January through September 2024, compared to the same month in 2023, and equaled $56.3 million, Trend reports via the Turkish Trade Ministry's data.
"Türkiye’s reported metal product exports to Uzbekistan were valued at $5 million in September 2024, reflecting a significant increase of 54.3 percent compared to the same period last year," the ministry statement read.
Furthermore, Türkiye’s steel exports to global markets rose by 10.7 percent year-on-year from January through September 2024, reaching a total of $12.2 million.
"Türkiye exported steel valued at $1.4 million in September 2024, marking a 7.5 percent increase compared to the same month last year," the ministry said.
To note, Türkiye’s total steel exports abroad over the past 12 months (September 2023–September 2024) amounted to $16 million.
