Azerbaijan, Guba, 2 5 March / Trend corr. A.Gafarova / On 24 March, a fire occurred in the wood in the Guba region of Azerbaijan. The fire covered mountain plots located between Zergov and Chichi villages. The way to the scene of the accident was hard for fire fighters to smooth.
Azizaga Gasimov, chief of the Fire Fighting Service in Guba, reported to Trend that the fire was smoothed by the midnight. "The results of the fire would be more severe if it occurred in the thick parts of the wood," he noted. Gasimov said the result of the damage caused by fire has been investigated.
According to the results of first investigation the fire was caused deliberately.
The officials of the local departments and Emergency Situations Commission visited the scene of the accident.
