Turkish president Abdullah Gul had a middle ear surgery on July 8, Habertürk newspaper said on Wednesday.
According to the report, the surgery was carried out in the Istanbul Acibadem hospital. After the surgery, Gul was discharged from the hospital.
According to the newspaper, the Turkish president will take office no earlier than four days after the operation.
It is reported that earlier president Gul consulted with doctors on pain in the ears.
