Protest actions of those dissatisfied with the policy of the ruling Justice and Development Party took place in Antakya district of Turkish Hatay province last night, Hürriyet newspaper reported on Tuesday.

During the fray there were clashes between the country's security forces and demonstrators. One person was killed and several injured as a result of clashes.

Protests took place in Turkey for three weeks from late May. According to the authorities, the protests were of an anti-government character.

As a result of the unrest in Turkey, nearly 4000 people were injured, five died and 4900 were detained by the police.
