The investigation into a criminal case against ex-Azerbaijani MP Guler Ahmadova accused under articles 178.3.2 (fraud causing great damage) and 307.2 (failure to inform of impending or committed heinous crimes) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code has been completed. The case was submitted for consideration to the Baku Heinous Crimes Court, the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office told Trend on Wednesday.
The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office filed a criminal case over the video with MP Guler Ahmadova and former rector of Azerbaijan International University Elshad Abdullayev.
The video shows that they were discussing a bribe in a large amount.
A criminal case has been filed under Art. 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic (embezzlement through breach of confidence with causing damage in the large amount) due to the fraud in the aforementioned audio and video recordings, which is embezzlement through breach of confidence. This relates to collected materials for a full, complete and objective examination of the information and given the necessity for immediate investigation and numerous investigative and operational measures.
