NATO not Plan to Allocate Combatant Forces in Middle Asia and Caucasus – Special Representative

NATO stated that the organization did not intend to allocate combatant forces in the Middle Asia and Caucasus even in the case of the countries join the alliance. "We assumed obligations not to allocate combatant forces in the territory of the new joined countries of NATO," Robert Simons, the special representative of NATO General Secretary on Caucasus and Middle Asia, said.

"We will not violate our promises even we to admit Caucasus countries to the alliance,"

There has not been expected join of Caucasus countries the alliance in the near future.
