Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 January/ corr. Trend J. Babayeva/ Dalga youth organization of Azerbaijan will support none of the presidential candidates and will not take part in the meetings in support of any candidate. Araz Gasimov, acting chairman of the Dalga youth organization said at a press conference held in Baku. Araz Gasimov has been appointed acting chairman of the organization as a result of an Executive Board decision. The reason of the appointment is attributed to the fact that the current chairman of the organization Vafa Jafarova is continuing her education in Georgia.
According to Gasimov, Dalga youth organization will contribute to the presidential elections to be held this year by activating processes in society. Activists of the organization will carry out enlightenment works in connection to the election.
Dalga youth organization was founded in February of 2005. The movement aims to support the establishment of a jural state and civil society in Azerbaijan, the propaganda of responsibility, concept of active and democratic citizenship, the principle of humanism, modern culture among the young and to carry out enlightenment works to activate the participation of youth in public life of the country.
