Baku to Discuss Enhancement of Azerbaijan-Pakistan Relations

Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 July / Trend I.Alizade/ A delegation of Pakistani Senate, Upper Chamber of Parliament, will be visiting Baku from 6 to 10 July to discuss enhancement of political, economic and inter-parliamentary relations with Azerbaijan. "The purpose of the visit is to discuss enhancement of political, economic and inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries," Azerbaijani Parliament reported to Trend on 3 July.

The delegation will be headed by Chairman of Senate's Committee on Foreign Relations, Senator Syed Mushahid Hussain.

The delegation will visit the Martyrs' Lane and the Honorary Cemetery, will meet with the Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Executive Secretary of the governing New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Ali Ahmadov, Minister of Industry & Energy Natig Aliyev, members of parliamentary standing committees on science & education, culture, social policy, security & defence, as well as with the working group on Azerbaijan-Pakistan inter-parliamentary relations. The guests will visit the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is expected to receive the delegation.
