Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 September/ Trend , V. Zhavoronkova/ Russia offers to impose embargo on the supply of arms to Georgia, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during his visit with the students of Moscow State InstituteofInternational Relations on 1 September, Vesti TV channel reported.
" US military assistance for Georgia supported Saakashvili regime," minister said.
Minister said Russia will establish relations with US on the basis of reciprocity and honesty. Russia will firmly maintain its interests and interests of its citizens on the international arena, he said.
According to Minister, US support for Saakashvili can be a historical mistake.
"We are interested in a close cooperation with OSCE and UN to provide security in the region. The only reasonable way forward is the pragmatic cooperation with West," Minister added.
