Georgia is establishing closer relations with the new U.S. administration than the previous government under former President George Bush, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili told the parliament.
"The Munich conference testifies to this fact as we have the full support of the U.S.," he said.
Saakashvili noted that the the international community also supports Georgia.
"In early 2009, we signed a strategic cooperation charter with the U.S. We are cooperating with the current U.S. administration more closely than the previous government," he said.
The president stressed that no one recognizes the separatist government in South Ossetia and Russia aims to break down the Georgian government.
