Head of the Iranian Central Bank Mhamoud Bahmani denied reports about his resignation spread by several Iranian media, the Iranian IRIB TV reported.
"I never wrote an application about my resignation and I am working at the moment," Bahmani said.Bahmani named the reports on his resignation as provocation aimed to undermine the country's economy before the presidential elections to be held in the country on June 12.
On May 12, the Iranian İLNA agency reported that the head of the Central Bank resigned, because monetary and credit council have not been organized in the country, large amount of funds are being misappropriated from a reserve fund, as well as there are differences amongst some members of the Cabinet of Ministers.
