Georgian ex-Premier Zurab Nogaideli's team submitted a plan to eliminate the political crisis. Mikhail Saakashvili inadequately appreciated the domestic political situation and the country is closer to the brink of civil confrontation, the leader of the Movement for Justice of Georgia said at a news conference on May 14.

"A small number of protesters must not mislead us, because they are very angry people. Saakashvili and his team should understand that it is necessary to take immediate action instead of the talks about dialogue," Nogaideli said.

Nogaideli believes that to save the country requires constitutional changes, Saakashvili's resignation, preterm presidential, parliamentary elections, as well as elections for self-government and the Supreme Council of the autonomous republics, changing the electoral law, freedom of media, releasing illegally imprisoned people and cancelling business terrorism.

"We can avoid a political and economic crisis by implementing this plan and I urge the authorities to immediately proceed to implement it," Nogaideli said.

Leader of the Christian Georgia Avtandil Davitaia agrees with this plan.
