Strasbourg court to consider case of Georgia's opposition member

Strasbourg court will consider case of the Movement for United Georgia founder Revaz Kldiashvili, Kldiashvili's lawyer Mitrofan Sturua said at briefing in office of the Conservative party on June 3.

Movement for United Georgia founder, one of organizers during protest actions in November 2007 was arrested on November 13, 2007.

He was accused of illegal bearing of gun and its production, distribution and use of forged documents. 

The court condemned Kldiashvili for 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

Conservative party's commission on human rights published a list of political prisoners by adding name of Revaz Kldiashvili in the office of public defender on February 6, 2009. The commission consists of all leading remedial organizations of Georgia, including ex-political prisoners - for human rights, association of Georgia's young lawyers, center on human rights, center on constitutional right protection.
