Presidential candidates invited to meeting of Iran's Guardian Council

Iran's Guardian Council urged the presidential candidates to attend the meeting of the council to be held soon. "The presidential candidates have been invited to the meeting of the Iranian Guardian Council to be held soon," the official of Iran's Guardian Council Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei said on June 18. All members of the council will participate in the meeting to be held next week, he said. The presidential candidates can partake in the meeting and exchange opinions.

"Upon the Guardian Council's instruction, experts must study the candidates' complaints and submit a full report to the council. The result of the conducted investigation will be discussed by the candidates and the Guardian Council," Kadkhodaei said.

Former Presidential Candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi's supporters are confident in falsifying of the results of the elections. The clash between the protesters and police after the presidential elections which were held on June 12 claimed lives of 25 people in Iran, BBC reported.
