It is necessary to create a single center to spread Novruz holiday worldwide, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki at Novruz celebration ceremony in Tehran March 27 was quoted as saying by IRINN TV channel.
According to Mottaki, the establishment of such centers in Novruz holiday celebrating countries will create condition for the expansion of cultural, scientific relations between these countries. "We hope that Novruz holiday celebration at the international level will contribute to ensuring peace and prosperity in the world," Mottaki said.
The U.N. has given an international holiday status to the Novruz holiday. In connection with that the state officials of the Novruz holiday celebrating countries have been invited to the event. The event, which will begin March 27 in Tehran, will continue in Shiraz next day.
Azerbaijan will be represented by a delegation headed by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
