Represented in the Union for Democracy, the parties are preparing an appeal to diplomatic missions, the chairman of the Union's electoral headquarters Ahmed Oruj said on June 10.
"At the meeting held on June 9, the election headquarters of the Union for Democracy decided to establish links with the embassies of Western countries and cooperate with them in a coordinated form during the election process. In this regard, an appeal is prepared to the diplomatic missions," said Oruj.
The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for the first week of November 2010. The previous legislative elections were held in November 2005. The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 electoral districts.
Union for Democracy was founded by the opposition Classic Popular Front Party, Azadlig party and National Democracy Party after 2005 parliamentary election. Great Azerbaijan Party joined the union in early Sept. 2008 and People's Party - in Nov. The Union is advisory and cooperation body.
