Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept.21 / Trend, T.Hajiyev /

Ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) has expressed confidence that the NAP members nominated their candidacies and not included in the single list of candidates will change their minds.

"I believe that these people will withdraw their candidacies for the sake of successful implementation of the Party's single electoral campaign. However, in general, I want to express my confidence that the NAP will once again demonstrate its unity, discipline, solidity, the willingness of each party member to the selflessness for the sake of party success in the elections," Ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Deputy Chairman, MP Ali Ahmadov said today in an interview with the NAP official website.

The ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) published a list of MP candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections on Saturday.

According to Ahmadov, a few such facts can not cast a shadow over the success of the electoral campaign of such a great party as NAP.

"Propaganda of our opponents appealing these facts against the NAP, is doomed to failure. It is impossible on the basis of several such facts cast a shadow on the inner unity of the NAP, bringing together more than half a million people," Ahmadov added.
According to him, the main slogan of the Party's electoral campaign is "Strong state - high welfare".

"This is a goal and slogan of the Party in the upcoming parliamentary elections. I think that the Azerbaijani citizen believes in the sincerity of these words, because until now the NAP policy's main aspiration has been serving to people. And today the NAP activity is based mainly on these aspirations," Ahmadov said.

The parliamentary election campaign began in Azerbaijan on Sept. 4.

Parliamentary elections are scheduled for Nov. 7. Previous elections in the legislature were held in November 2005. In Azerbaijan, parliamentary elections are held on the majority system in 125 electoral districts.
