Representatives of the Office of Counternarcotics Enforcement have held a training course on technical safety and survival for officers of Georgian Interior Ministry's Special Operations Department.
This is the first such course held by the U.S. experts in Georgia as part of a long-term partnership between Georgia and the U.S. in counternarcotics law enforcement agencies, the U.S. Embassy told Trend.
The five-day course, "Technical safety and survival," will help Georgian officers to better plan and conduct operations. The course consisted of self-defense techniques, technical moves, and the operation of high-risk machines.
The American instructors made a study of Georgian police officers' self-defense skills. The training course, which took place Sept. 20-24, also included a shooting scenario, handcuff technique and other important topics.
