Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will make an annual speech in parliament in the afternoon on Feb. 11, Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze said at the plenary session today.

Earlier, Saakashvili's speech was scheduled for Feb. 10.

"The president appealed to the parliament personally and asked to postpone his speech, and we found it possible to satisfy this request," Bakradze said.

"President Saakashvili will come to parliament on Feb. 11 and will make an address to parliament and the public. Regarding the president's speech, there has already been formed a certain tradition this year. Things will go well this time around," Bakradze said.

Manana Manjgaladze, the spokesperson to the Georgian president said that in his message, President Saakashvili will touch on the current problems and summarize 2010.

"Particular attention will be given to ways of overcoming the consequences of global inflation, which seriously affects the country's population," she pointed out.
