Member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE Rafael Huseynov has been appointed as co-rapporteur of re-formed the PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and IDPs, Rafael Huseynov told Trend on Wednesday.
"On the third day of the winter session, I was appointed as co-rapporteur on another problem at the re-formed PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and IDPs. One of the notable moments is that this report focuses on all-European issue. The problem that the report deals with "Opportunities for citizenship" is particularly urgent in the world with growing integration," he said.
Huseynov said several European countries complicate conditions for granting citizenship to migrants every year.
"Citizenship is one of the main conditions for safe living in the country, at the same time the condition of fully using political rights. A detailed analysis will be carried out on this issue, worrying millions of people in Europe today. It is planned to include a new report in the agenda of a plenary in late 2012," he said.
