President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov will participate in informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and in the jubilee session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will be held in Moscow on Tuesday, a source in the government of the republic told Trend on Monday.
It is expected that CIS members will discuss issues of economic integration and innovation cooperation at the informal summit of CIS heads of states.
Jubilee session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be attended by the Presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It is expected that the national leaders will discuss military-technical cooperation, and coordination of foreign policy of the organization that during the meeting.
The Collective Security Treaty was signed on May 15, 1992 in Tashkent. CSTO was created on the basis of the Treaty on Collective Security in 2002.
