Today, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for African and Arab countries Hossein Amir Abdollahian went on a visit to Moscow, the agency MEHR reported on Friday.
The latest situation in Syria and Bahrain will be discussed with Russian officials during the one-day visit.
According to UN statistics, the total number of victims in Syria has reached 17,000 persons, about 230,000 people became refugees, and more than one million people need humanitarian aid.
Earlier, the UN-Arab League special envoy to Syria Kofi Annan resigned from his post.
