Chamber of Deputies chairman: Romania is ready to fully support Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani-Romanian relations have reached a strategic partnership level, speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oqtay Asadov said during a meeting with chairman of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies Valeriu Zgonea today.

The relations between the two countries are developing dynamically, the speaker said.

There is a legal framework to develop the cooperation. The two countries signed 55 bilateral agreements and five more agreements are planned to be signed to develop this cooperation, Asadov said.

Azerbaijan supplies crude oil to Romania. It is interested in gas supply in the future, so it attaches great importance to AGRİ project implementation, Asadov said.

The Parliaments play a crucial role in the development of bilateral ties. The parliamentary friendship groups are operating, Asadov said.

Romania is ready to fully support Azerbaijan, Zgonea said.

Regarding the development of bilateral relations, Romanian Speaker said that Romanian Minister for Foreign Investment and Infrastructure Projects Dan Șova arrived in Azerbaijan with 15 projects that will contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

The minister arrived as part of the Romanian delegation.

Romania is interested in developing the relations in all fields, Zgonea said.
