The Syrian regime was behind the terrorist attack in Reyhanlı in Turkey's Hatay province, TRT Haber TV channel quoted Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as telling reporters on Monday.
According to Erdogan, the Syrian opposition bears no connection to the terrorist attack.
Erdogan said that the terrorist attack in Reyhanlı will be discussed during his visit to the U.S. and that Turkey will have a number of points to discuss on the issue.
He said that after his visit to the U.S., he intends to visit Reyhanlı and hold meetings with the families of bombing victims.
Two vehicles packed with explosives blew up near the town hall and industrial area of Hatay.
As a result, 46 people died and 155 were injured. According to the Turkish Interior Ministry, 11 community buildings, 293 residential houses, 450 offices belonging to private firms were seriously damaged, and 62 cars were destroyed.
Previously, members of the DHKP-C group organized a terrorist attack at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara. The attack killed a security guard whilst another person was injured.
