Presidential candidate: Iranian conservatives do not come to agreement

The upcoming presidential election will not be bipolar, conservatives will not achieve an agreement on the issue of a single candidate, and each candidate will participate in the elections with his/her own program, Kamran Bagheri Lankarani who put forward his candidacy from the Front for the Stability of the Iranian Revolution of the conservative camp said at a meeting with students on Thursday, the official news website of Iranian Iribnews TV channel reported.

Lyankyarani said he will fight hard until the end of the elections.

"The people will decide how to vote themselves," he said.

Along with Kamran Bagheri Lankarani, the Front for the Stability of the Iranian Revolution established in 2011 by a group of politicians criticizing Ahmadinejad's government, also supports the candidacy of the current secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili.

The official registration of candidates for the upcoming presidential elections in Iran, in which the main competitors are the reformers and the conservatives were held on May 7-11.

Overall, more than 680 people have put forward their candidacy for the presidential elections. Of these, only 36 candidates are well known in the country. Most of them run on behalf of conservative camp.

Iran will hold the 11th presidential election on June 14, 2013.
