Azerbaijan, Baku, July 29 / Trend, M. Aliyev /

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has put forward a proposal to the OSCE Permanent Council, which made a decision meeting Azerbaijan's desires. A memorandum of understanding will be signed on this decision. The direction of the further activity will be determined later, head of the OSCE Office in Baku Koray Targay told journalists today.

He was commenting on the change of the Baku office's status.

According to him, only the name has been changed.

"So far, our activity has not changed," Targay added.

As for the theme of the upcoming elections, Targay said that there is still enough time before the elections.

"We are working together with the CEC," he stressed. "The most important things are stability and peace in Azerbaijan as well as the Azerbaijani people's happiness. We will take all actions and do everything possible for shadows not to fall on presidential elections in Azerbaijan."
