Azerbaijani nation will make a worthy choice at the presidential elections and elect the candidate which will ensure successful future of Azerbaijan and meet the people's expectations, the head of Department of political analysis and information provision of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, Elnur Aslanov said while speaking at XI Summer forum of ASAIF (Azerbaijani Students and Alumni International Forum) in Baku on Friday.
Independent Azerbaijan, which adopted democratic values in a very short time, has accumulated great experience in conducting free and fair elections, the head of Department of Presidential Administration noted.
"The analysis of previous elections once again shows that the Azerbaijani democracy has matured and turned to a kind of lighthouse showing the way to development and progress. Democracy is a product of historical development. The implementation of all political reforms in parallel with the economic ones was Azerbaijan's success," Aslanov stressed.
Presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on October 9. Previous presidential elections were held on October 15, 2008.
Presidential elections in Azerbaijan are held each five years.
