President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of new ambassador of Brazil Santiago Luis Bento Fernandez Alcazar.
The diplomat passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the diplomat.
Mr. Alcazar congratulated the Head of State on his victory in the October 9 presidential election, and praised ongoing rapid development processes in Baku.
The diplomat noted the two countries recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of establishment of the bilateral relations, adding he will spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening the Azerbaijan-Brazil relationship even further.
The Head of State said the bonds between Azerbaijan and the Federative Republic of Brazil were developing successfully.
The Azerbaijani President hailed political relations between the two countries as "good", noting there are good opportunities for development of the cooperation in the fields of economy, agriculture, business and tourism.
