Trend: Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and First Deputy Minister of Defense, the Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces, Colonel-General Najmaddin Sadigov visited the frontline zone, according to information posted on the Defense Ministry's website on Nov. 7.
The leaders of the Defense Ministry visited military units on the front line, got acquainted with the situation, met with soldiers and officers serving there.
Distinguished soldiers were awarded the ranks, medals and prizes.
The Defense Minister and the First Deputy Defense Minister familiarized themselves with the combat readiness of the troops on the frontline, the soldiers' morale and their social conditions, as well as the officers' and warrant officers' level of training, logistical support of troops, provision of weapons and ammunition.
The reports and proposals of the commanding staff were heard, and instructions were given for strengthening combat readiness and discipline, as well as improvement of social conditions of the soldiers.
