Turkey's population reached 76,667,864 people in 2013, the Turkish Institute of Statistics said on Wednesday.
Some 19 percent of the population lives in Istanbul, according to the statistics.
This figure is by 13.7 percent more compared to 2012.
It is predicted that the Turkish population will hit 94.6 million in 2050.
