The amendments on depriving the diplomatic rank had to be made to the law long ago, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev told Trend Oct. 2.
He was commenting on Azerbaijani parliament's amendments to the law on diplomatic service.
"Those amendments to the law on diplomats are serious actions," he said. "Everyone must do their job."
"One thing is to reprimand, and another thing is to demote. Such paragraphs exist also in similar laws of other countries," he noted.
Commenting on that some diplomats haven't returned to Azerbaijan, the deputy minister said a person loving own country should come and express discontent here.
