Azerbaijani president receives credentials of incoming UAE ambassador (PHOTO)
Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 20
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Hamel Al Qubaisi Oct. 20.
The ambassador reviewed the guard of honor.
Mohammed Hamel Al Qubaisi handed his credentials to President Aliyev.
President Aliyev then had a conversation with the ambassador.
Noting that Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates were close and friendly countries, the president expressed satisfaction with the highest level of political cooperation between the two countries.
Touching upon the visits of different-level delegations from the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan, President Aliyev said there was great potential for the development of bilateral relations. The president stressed the importance of defining opportunities in the fields of economy, investment making, agriculture and tourism.
President Aliyev emphasized the importance of regional security issues, and highlighted the significance of fighting against the international terrorism.
Mohammed Hamel Al Qubaisi said everyone in the UAE considers Azerbaijan as a friendly country. Mohammed Hamel Al Qubaisi said he was pleased to be the ambassador in the fraternal country, adding he would spare no efforts towards developing ties in all spheres.
