Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of the 'Israel is Our Home' party, has always been a friend of Azerbaijan, he advocates strengthening relations with the country regardless of the position he holds, President of the Azerbaijani-Israeli Chamber of Commerce Alex Kaplun told Trend May 19.
He said that Azerbaijan and Israel have built strong relations in the field of security for 25 years of cooperation, and these relations will only grow stronger.
Avigdor Lieberman has accepted the offer of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take the post of defense minister in the new coalition government with the participation of the "Israel our Home" party, Israel's cursorinfo.co.il news agency reported earlier.
