BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in the Netherlands have sent an appeal to the country's parliament, Trend reports via the statement from Azerbaijan's Committee for Work with Diaspora.
According to the statement, the appeal was a response to the release of documents designating Azerbaijani territories' liberation as the so-called “Seizure of Nagorno-Karabakh" in the International Security section of the program, reflecting the Dutch government's plans for its term of office.
Besides, Azerbaijanis living in the Netherlands met this with serious dissatisfaction.
The Azerbaijani community's appeal emphasized that it will continue to express its protests, as the documents like above give Armenian nationalists false hopes for revenge and exacerbate tensions in the region, and similar actions do not promote peace but rather fuel conflict.
The Dutch Union of Azerbaijani Women, 'Ana Vatan' ('Motherland'), has sent an appeal for a meeting to the Dutch Parliament and prepared a petition.
The parliament's official website said that the appeal has been registered and that the meeting will take place.
