AZERBAIJAN, UNESCO SIGNED MEMO ON MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING

Azerbaijan and UNESCO signed a memorandum on mutual understanding during an international conference �UNESCO-Azerbaijan: a bridge to future’ at the Gulustan Palace of Baku on Wednesday, Trend reports.

The document was signed by Misir Mardanov, the Azerbaijani Education Minister, and Konchiro Matsuura, the General Director of UNESCO.

Memorandum envisages further cooperation in the sphere of improvement education system, in particular, application of world standards and new mechanism on increase of living conditions, delivery of logistics aid by UNESCO, Mardanov after the signing of the document.

In her turn Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady, the Good-Will Ambassador, voiced her hope that the conference and the document would become an actual bridge between Azerbaijan and UNESCO.
