The pro-governmental Reform’ bloc registered 36 candidates, Mammad Alizada, the chairman of the World of Democratic Azerbaijan Party, co-constitutor of the bloc, told Trend.

According to Alizada, the number could be higher, but the bloc was confronted with difficulties in the determination of constituencies due to the late publication of the electoral list by the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) since they earlier decided not to ballot from the same constituencies as the NAP candidates. Then the decision was violated in some constituencies.

Alizada also noted that the persons registered their candidacies from the Reform’ bloc will undertake the expenses on elections campaign themselves. He found difficulty to name the sum required for elections campaign and stressed that it would depend on candidate. “For instance, Kamil Seidov, the chairman of the Free Republicans Party, will spend $5000 on the campaign, while others intend to spend $500-600,” he added.

Alizada said that the preparation of agitation means would be control by the bloc and they concluded a contract with the Adiloglu Publishing House in this regard. The leadership of the Reform’ bloc plans to hold a conference on 6 September in relation to the elections.
