73% OF INQUIRED SUPPORTS ILHAM ALIYEV’S CANDIDACY

73 of inquired supports the policy of Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani President, in accordance with the inquiry held by the �Ray’ monitoring center in 33 settlements from 2 to 5 September, Rizvan Abbasov, the head of the center, told Trend.

In reply to the question “Whom would you vote for if your candidate to the President refused from participation in the elections?” 76% named Ilham Aliyev, 5.5% - Isa Gambar, the leader of the opposition Musavat Party, 3% - Ali Karimli, the chairman of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party (classics), 1.5% -Lala Hajiyeva, the leader of the National Unity Movement, 1.2% - Rasul Guliyev, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party, and 0.7% - Etibar Mammadov, the leader of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party.

64,3% of the inquired asserted their participation in the presidential elections if it was held next Sunday. 19.5% answered that they will probably participate in the voting, while 7.1% gave negative replies to the question.

As to question “What opinions about Aliyev do you usually meet among people”, 58.9% answered �positive’, 33.4% - �neutral’ and 7.7% - �negative’.

The inquiry revealed that 51% of respondents regard Aliyev’s visits to the regions as �good’, the 36.3% - �very good’, 3.9% - �bad’ and 0.9% - �very bad’. 7.9% found difficult in replying.

The inquiry was held among 1450 people aged above 18. 88% of the respondents was non-party.
