Electron voting will not be applied in Azerbaijan during the current parliamentary elections, Igbal Babayev, the head of the information Center �Seckiler’ (Elections) under the Central Elections Commissions (CEC) announced.
He said that a program on the application of electro voting system meeting international standards will be developed in Azerbaijan, and presented to the Cabinet of Ministers. However for the time being the system is not applied.
According to Babayev, in future it is planned to use the electron voting, electrons precincts will be automated, and even the ballot boxes will be I the form of electron device.
“Under the state program �Electron government’ it is planned to automate the elections process in the country. However, the process will be implemented gradually in the future,’ Babayev said.
