Religious provocation should be blocked by high level of culture, Speaker Asadov urges

We should answer some countries, which give us a lesson of democracy, with intellect and culture, but not culture, Oktai Asadov, the speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament, told Trend. He was commenting on a campaign held in some European countries against Islam and publication of cartoons of Prophet Muhammad, the Speaker noted that Islam is more progressive religion. It is necessary block such actions by high level of culture, he stressed.

Asadov spoke about his forthcoming visit to Turkey. He will hold talks at the Turkish Supreme Assembly and meet with the Turkish Premier and Vive Premier. During the meetings it is planned to discuss the development of bilateral relationships among the countries and further development of parliamentary relationships.
