The European Union Commissar on foreign relations Benita Ferrero-Waldner will pay a one-day visit to Azerbaijan on 15 February, the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry press center told Trend.
Under the visit program, the guest will be received by the Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, the Milli Mejlis chairman Oktay Asadov and the Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. Discussions of issues of cooperation development between the European Union and Azerbaijan first, in the political field are supposed.
Benita Ferrero-Waldner will visit Baku within her South Caucasus tour. The main subjects of negotiations will be the Action Plan in the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy initiative, settlement of the frozen conflicts and the issues of energy security.
