The Central Elections Commission (CEC) held a seminar for members of the constituencies on Saturday. The CEC told Trend members and chairmen of 10 constituency elections commission participated in the event.
Mazahir Panahov, the chairman of the CEC, informed the participants in the gathering about preparations for re-run parliamentary elections. Representatives of the CEC delivered papers on different topics concerning the re-run elections.
Igbal Babayev, the head of the Elections Information Center Elections made a report on clarification and familiarity with the voter lists, Natig Mammadov, the Secretary of the CEC, spoke about rules on nominating the candidates, check-up of the registration of documents and resolutions of the OIC on registration of candidates. Azer Tagiyev, a member of the CEC, touched upon the pre-elections campaign.
The propaganda campaign on 10 constituencies, where the elections will be held, is to start on 14 March. At preempt a process of registration of candidates is underway.
