Candidacy of the people, who committed violations during election campaign, will be annulled, Trend reports quoting Mazahir Panahov, the chair of the Central Election Committee (CEC). The candidates were awarded of inadmissibility of violations during election campaign.

The Elections Code includes items on violations, envisaging annulment of candidacy and some responsibility. For example, candidacy may be annulled, if people make speeches contradicting the law, hold agitation campaign against other candidates, attract electorate

by different inadmissible ways, including, at the expense of financial security, distribution of any subjects.

Accusations, filed by CEC in regard to the candidates, who committed violations, are submitted to court for consideration. The chair of CEC thinks the number of similar violations will be less in the by-elections. CEC informs electorate on the issue, hold enlightenment work among the society. I suppose the number of similar complaints will not be high, Panahov stressed.

Term of submission of complaints to CEC in relation to decision of constituency commissions on refusal from registration of candidacy expired. The funds, allocated from the public budget for election campaign by candidates, were transferred to the election commissions.
