Japanese government launches infrastructure modification projects in Azerbaijan  Todahiro Abe

The Japanese government will launch an infrastructure modification projects in Azerbaijan, the Japanese ambassador in Baku, Todahiro Abe told Trend .

The Japanese government has previously focused in social area, implementing large scale programs and projects aimed at the education, healthcare and development of other social areas, he said.

However, from this year on Japan will allocate the most part of its resources on infrastructure development. As the new year begins from April in Japan, the exact amount of finances to be provided to Azerbaijan is not yet defined, the ambassador said. It will be clear any time soon.

In general, $700m have been provided to Azerbaijan by Japan within the frames of the official aid program since its independence, the ambassador said.
