Community should help protect army

The group of Azeri parliament deputies on June 21 held a press-conference as a result of the visit to the front districts Jabrayilli, Beylagan and Fuzuli. Noting several shortages, the deputies highly assessed the visit to the region, Trend reports.

The deputy group included Vahid Ahmadov, Sabir Hajiyev, Elmira Akhundova, Lala Abbasova, Ahad Ahmadov, Ali Masimli and Farrukh Zeynalov.

Opening the press-conference, Vahid Ahmadov noted that the goal of the visit was related to critical articles published in several newspapers to the address of Azeri army. During the observations and held meetings, we didnt face with such a situation. The Azerbaijani army is strengthening, and soldiers and officers have a high competitive spirit, told Ahmadov.

Besides, Ahmadov stressed the existence of several problems of which solution doesnt depend only on the state. It needs to upgrade material conditions of army. $600m have been allocated from the state budget for this purpose. But this amount is not enough for the upgrade of army. Therefore, the community should provide assistance, pointed out Ahmadov. Elmira Akhundova noted that a military hospital was built in Fizuli, there were orders in quarters and servicemen were provided with qualitative meals. It is necessary to note the battle training and high spirit of army. As well as there are several shortages and they should be resolved at state level, told Akhundova.

According to Akhundova, the officers complained mainly about the activity of the Military Procurator's Office. She noted that the community should take an active part in strengthening the army. Relations should be established between the army and community. The community should help protect the army, emphasized Akhundova.

Besides, other deputies shared their impressions. According to them, they were fully satisfied with the condition of army on the front line. They stressed that there were empty houses in several villages.
