Starting from September 15, ballots and protocols on the municipal elections to be held on October 6, 2006 will be distributed among all the constituencies, Mazahir Panakhov, Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Central Election Committee told Trend today.
He pointed out that both protocols and voting papers were printed on carbonized paper and then delivered to the Committee. The process on their distributing among the constituencies is expected to start on September 15, 2006. Mr. Panakhov pointed out that a Republican Seminar-Discussion is expected to be held in the Central Election Committee on September 23.
He also presented the information about observers of the forthcoming municipal elections. Totally 33 persons has been registered in the Committee up to date, and 5.754 persons in the constituencies.
The number of polling stations where the elections to be held reaches 950. The number of candidates run for the municipal elections makes up 4.576 persons. 51 candidates out of the total number have withdrawn their candidacy. 249 persons out of the total number of the candidates are candidates-females.
