Ukraine`s Fuel and Energy Minister: Ukraine Prepared Interesting Proposals for Participants of Project Odessa-Brody

Ukraine`s Fuel and Energy Minister Eugeny Boyko has stated that Ukraine has prepared interesting proposals for the participants of the project Odessa-Brody, the Ukrainian Minister told during the today`s briefing at the Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine, Trend Special Correspondent to Kiev reports.

We discussed the situation over the operation of the oil pipeline Odessa-Brody with all the possible participants, and we are ready to submit very interesting proposals to them, told the Ukrainian Minister.

According g to Mr. Boyko, the preliminary negotiations were held with the owners of the resource, as well as Azerbaijani, Kazakhstan, Russian companies, and possible consumers, particularly Polish concern PKN Orlen, whose representatives visited Kiev last week

After that we formed, in our opinion, acceptable proposals to the participants of this large-scale project, told. Mr. Boyko.

He also pointed out that the proposals were moved away from all political declarations as much as possible, and will be based on the economic expediency.

The Ukrainian Minister told in particular that he had held negotiations with Russia`s Transneft, during which he formed the Ukrainian position, and how the Ukrainian party sees this project. According to him, the management of the Russian company took an interval for a month to consider the proposals and form the official answer.

The Ukrainian Minister expressed his hope that the Ukrainian proposals will be of a great interest to all the partners involved in this project.

The length of the pipeline Odessa-Brody (the oil terminal is Yuzhniy Odessa-Brody) is 674 km, with the capacity of 9 m. tons of oil per year.
