Opinion of International Observers Regarding Municipal Elections may be Positive CEC Representative

The opinion of the international observers regarding the municipal elections held on 6 October in Azerbaijan may be positive. We can come to such a conclusion on base of the information provided by them, the Head of the International Department of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC) Rovzat Gasimov told Trend.

He stressed that according to the information provided by the international observers to the CEC, they have noted only small breaks during the elections. The international observers told us that they faced small breaks in the elections. But they also stressed that these breaks aren't defects. Generally the international observers didn't express their opinions of the existence of serious breaks in the elections, Gasimov emphasized.

According to Gasimov, it is possible to consider that international observers positively assess the 6 October repeat, additional, new and first municipal elections.
