New Cargo Railway Station Opened on Georgian and Azerbaijani Border
On January 13, a new cargo railway station was opened in Gardabani (Georgia) on the border with Azerbaijan, Trend Special Correspondent in Georgia reports. The cargo station which meets the contemporary standards has been fully electrified. Additionally 4-km line has been opened, which will allow receiving 8 mln more tons of cargo annually. The large-scale construction work has been implemented by the European Service-Center which won the bid. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of Azerbaijan State Railway Department, Arif Askerov and Director General of Railways of Georgia LLC, Irakli Ezugbay.
